2022 New Market Farmer's Market Rules
A note to potential vendor participants: Please consider all of the following regulations before registering.
Vendor Location: All vendors will be located in and around the front lawn of New Market Elementary School. Locations will be assigned as requested and the Green Team decisions will be final. Please feel free to request a location and we will do our best to accommodate, as we all want to have a successful market. Locations will be distributed prior to the market and clearly defined with maps. Single market vendors will be moved as needed based on availability.
Vendor Responsibilities:
All vendors will be required to collect any trash and dispose of your own trash. Be prepared and bring trash bags/cans to accommodate any trash from your patrons/staff. The town green team will supply trash receptacles, but please respect your neighbors and the school grounds by picking up after yourself.
All vendors will be spaced away from one another an appropriate distance for safety and will respect each other's space. Please use all precautions when serving your patrons. Keep appropriate distance and avoid touching. Please honor your neighbor and our community members.
All vendors will be assigned their space ahead of time for mapping purposes, except for individual market vendors that will be assigned on the day of. Please stop by the Green Team table at the entrance to the market (closest to main Street) with questions about assignments. Vendors may bring their own 6 or 8 ft tables and chairs to fit a span of 15 ft max. Tents are encouraged, but please no larger than a 10 ‘ x 10'. No tables or tents will be provided. Your set up is your responsibility.
All vendors are to unload all items at their assigned space, then move their vehicles before 9:45 AM to the parking lot, either behind the elementary school or at Town Hall - 40 South Alley, New Market - behind Main Street in South Alley.
Vendors will be set-up and ready to be exhibiting their products/services by 9:45 AM and will not tear down until 2 PM. All vehicles of vendors to be moved to designated parking areas by 9:45 AM. No exceptions to this rule for safety.
Applications:
All vendor applications will be reviewed by the Green Team of New Market prior to approval. Some industries will not be allowed if they are not in the scope of the Farmer’s Market vision and goals of serving the community. No refunds will be processed for any reason. No one will be confirmed as a vendor and added to the map until you receive official word from the Green Team. Once approved, we will provide you with all necessary info to have a great event.
Weather
The Market is Rain or Shine, but if the weather presents a potential threat to vendors and the community, the Green Team will cancel the market or close early if needed. No refunds will be issued for weather cancelations and we will do everything in our power to hold the market regardless of weather.
